COLOR WHEEL UNIT

A color wheel unit is provided to prevent the separation of a rotor by a holding part. A color wheel(30) is located on an optical path. R, G, and B segments are rotated and successively inserted on the optical path. A driving device(10) provides rotary force to the color wheel(30). The driving device(10) includes a rotor(11), a shaft(14), and a base(16). The rotor(11) is simultaneously rotated with the color wheel(30). The rotor(11) has a holding projection whose one end part is outward protruded. The shaft(14) rotatably supports the rotor(11). The base(16) fixes the shaft(14). A holding part(50) is fixed to the base(16) and is held on the holding projection.
