The invention relates to sizing compositions which comprise a solvent component and a solid component. The solvent component comprises water or one or several alcohols as a main component and the solid component comprises a mixture of metakaolinite and pyrophyllite as a main component, which can be applied to the casting moulds. The invention also relates to said casting moulds comprising sizing components and to the use thereof, in particular in centrifugal casting and flow casting.
