FIELD: metallurgical industry, in particular, preparing of raw material for manganese alloying of steel, may be used in direct steel alloying process. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves placing burden in layers; feeding agglomeration burden consisting of manganese-containing concentrate, flux, and small-sized coke; feeding intermediate layer of pellets onto lower layer, said pellets consisting of aluminum-containing material, passivated by layer of mixture consisting of lime and white clay used in the ratio of (5.1-5.5):(1.1-1.3); feeding into upper layer fluxed and non-fluxed ore-coal pellets with ore portion partly in the form of manganese-containing concentrate, and additionally feeding fluxed pellets consisting of manganese-containing concentrate and aluminum-containing material; feeding burden materials in an amount providing carbon, aluminum and manganese ratio of (15.0-20.0):(5.0-7.0):( 18.0-22.0) in agglomerate. Aluminum-containing material as part of pellets forming intermediate and upper layers contains alumina and metal aluminum. Ratio of carbon as part of pellets forming upper layer to carbon as part of agglomeration burden forming lower layer is 2.0-3.2. ^ EFFECT: increased sulfur removing capacity of agglomerate and improved manganese reducibility. ^ 2 tbl, 1 ex |
