An alarm system using a broadcasting mobile communication terminal and a multimedia service and an alarm method thereof are provided to output a multimedia broadcasting signal as an alarm signal through a host server interworking with the terminal which receives the multimedia broadcasting signal, thereby giving a lot of enjoyment to the user. A received multimedia broadcasting signal is decoded, and a recording signal is detected to store a corresponding multimedia broadcast(S300-S302). Schedule alarm time and the stored multimedia broadcast are registered as an alarm signal to set schedule alarm information(S303-S306). The set schedule alarm time is recognized to output the registered multimedia broadcast as an alarm signal(S307-S309).
