PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate formation of a battery module using a bipolar battery. SOLUTION: The battery module is provided with a plurality of bipolar batteries 40, a pair of conductive holding plates 50, 60 which sandwich and hold the plurality of the bipolar batteries from both sides along a direction for laminating bipolar electrodes, and electrically connect the bipolar batteries with each other. The plurality of the bipolar batteries are in contact with each other through a conductive elastic body 90, and an elastic modulus of the elastic body is 1.0×10<SP>3</SP>-7.5×10<SP>6</SP>Pa.
