PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement water feed control suitable for an automatic icemaker for making ice by feeding water to two icemaker trays. SOLUTION: The automatic icemaker makes ice by feeding water via pumps 24 from a feedwater tank 11 storing water to the two icemaker trays (first icemaker tray 26a and second icemaker tray 26b) disposed in a subfreezing atmosphere. At a water feed, a particular icemaker tray (first icemaker tray 26a) can be fed with water first so as to have more water than the other icemaker tray (second icemaker tray 26b) even in the worst case in which the feedwater tank 11 has a low water level and feeds an insufficient amount of water. The completion of ice making detected by a temperature sensor 30 on the particular icemaker tray (first icemaker tray 26a) can prove the completion of ice making in the other icemaker tray (second icemaker tray 26b).
