<p>In a process to pack or wrap a product in foil, uniform foil panels or patterns are cut from a foil web, leaving a residual grid, feed strip, or tail strip of unused foil. The leading edge of the foil strip is engaged by a clamp forming part of a transporter unit that shifts the peeling residual strip to a fixed position clamp at a shredder station inlet. After the foil leading edge has been secured, the transporter clamp releases the foil and returns to the initial position for the next cycle.</p> |
