PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composite fine particles produced by strongly immobilizing metal oxide fine particles on polymer particles, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The composite fine particles are characterized by immobilizing metal oxide fine particles on the surfaces of polymer particles with a silane coupling agent capable of binding organic substances to inorganic substances. When the metal oxide fine particles are immobilized on the surfaces of polymer particles, it is preferable to irradiate ultrasonic waves on a solution containing the polymer particles, the metal oxide fine particles and the silane coupling agent.
