PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a motor wherein the bearing portion of its exhaust-side bracket is efficiently cooled and the temperature of the bearing is controlled within an allowable temperature range and the life of the bearing is not shortened. SOLUTION: An air-cooled motor includes: a rotor constructed by fitting a rotor core onto a rotating shaft and inserting a rotor conductor thereto; and a stator constructed by winding a stator coil on a stator core having at its central part a space for disposing the rotor. Both ends of the stator are closed, and the bearing portions for the rotor are provided in its central part. The motor is provided with: a pair of brackets at intake-side and exhaust-side that rotatably support the rotor; and an internal fan for passing cooling air through the stator and the rotor. A cooling medium sealing space extending from the bearing portion of the exhaust-side bracket to the peripheral portion of the bracket is provided.
