PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for continuously manufacturing a polarizing film, having uniform properties without reducing both vertical strength and lateral strength by constituting stretching of a poly(vinyl alcohol) series film so that 1st stage stretching for stretching the film in a stage of small moving speed of a plastic film original roll and 2nd stage stretching for stretching the film, in a stage of large moving speed can be performed in a continuous working process. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for continuously manufacturing the polarizing film, the polarizing plate is manufactured by uniaxial stretching of the film to a definite direction by two or more driving rolls of the same diameters in a process of continuously supplying the plastic film original roll from an unwinding roll to a winding-up roll and a 2nd stage stretching part for stretching the film, in a state where moving speed is fast is provided at a downstream side of a 1st stage stretching part for stretching the film, in a state where moving speed of the plastic film original roll is slow. Furthermore, in the apparatus for continuously manufacturing the polarizing film, moving speed of the plastic film original roll is 2 to 4cm/minute at the 1st stage stretching part and 8 to 16cm/minute at the 2nd stage stretching part.
