<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web-based video BLOG (VLOG) system, and to allow a user to display video segments of a format recorded in time order arrangement on a network. <P>SOLUTION: In this video BLOG system, the user can display the vide segments by the time order arrangement on-line. The video BLOG system is a user-friendly interface and system. The user can disclose a video or another multimedia file in a personal Web space, directly records the video into a central server without needing to record the video into a computer of the spot of the user, and thereafter, transfers the file by a file transfer protocol. The video file of any format can be transmitted, coding of the spot is automatically executed in the central server, an original format is converted into a common format, and all the users can view the video. Additionally, video effect is automatically added inside the video, a degree of the effect and various parameters can be selected, and a metatag is added, so that retrieval of the video is convenient.
