PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package cushioning material which prevents dropping of a packed article from the package cushioning material caused by vibration during transportation, and prevents the bottom face of the packed article from deforming even if the strength of the bottom face of the packed article is low. SOLUTION: The package cushioning material 20 is placed on a box bottom side 41 of the packed article 30 in a packing container 10. The package cushioning material 20 includes at least a pair of sloped portions which have sloped surfaces 27 abutting on the opposite corners of the bottom face of the packed article 30, respectively, and height maintaining portions 25 maintaining the position of the pair of sloped portions so that each sloped surface 27 is retained at a predetermined angle.
