METHOD IN CONNECTION WITH MANUFACTURING A SURFACE-SIZED FIBRE WEB, PARTICULARLY A SURFACE-SIZED PAPER OR BOARD WEB

The invention relates to a method in connection with manufacturing a surface- sized fibre web, particularly a paper or board web, in which method the fibre web is dried in a front drying section (100) by drying causing a curling tendency into the fibre web, in which method the fibre web is surface-sized in a surface-sizing unit (200), and in which method the surface-sized fibre web is after-dried in an after-drying section (300). In the method, in the front drying section (100) for obtaining the curling tendency created into the fibre web to a desired value, the curl of the fibre web is adjusted in the end part of the front drying section (100) and that the fibre web is surface-sized in the surface-sizing unit (200) by surface-sizing of high dry content in which the dry content of the surface-sizing compound is more than 12% or in which less than 20 g/m<SUP>2</SUP> of water is brought into the web.
