摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which suppresses astigmatism without disturbing the miniaturization of a device, and records and reproduces information properly without becoming redundant, in an optical disk device having an optical pickup device which uses a rising prism and dynamically compensates spherical aberration. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical disk device 1 such that the miniaturization is attained using the rising prism 36, setting conventional beam shaping magnification of the rising prism to about 1.1 to 1.3, leads to the generation of the astigmatism owing to the rising prism 36. Therefore, the beam shaping magnification &beta; of the rising prism 36 is set to more than 0.97 to less than 1.03, so that the astigmatism resulting from the rising prism 36 does not occur. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
