PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire tread rubber composition excellent in wetting performance while assuring low-temperature flexibility and destructivity resistance and pneumatic tire comprising it in a tread. SOLUTION: The tire tread rubber composition comprises 20-100 pts.mass of a filler based on 100 pts.mass of a rubber component comprising 20-98 mass% of a polybutadiene rubber, 2-80 mass% of a butyl based rubber and 0-78 mass% of a natural rubber and/or a polyisoprene rubber.
