COLORED ELECTORNIC INK NANOPARTICLES FOR ELECTRONIC DISPLAYS AND PREPARATION THEREOF

Provided are a multi-colored nanoparticle for electronic paper (e-paper) which is excellent in the clearness of color and is high in the mobility of electrophoresis, and a method for preparing the multi-colored nanoparticle. A multi-colored nanoparticle is the poly(styrene/divinyl benzene/2-hydroxy methacrylate) nanoparticle represented by a formula 1 where a hydroxyl group is introduced at the surface, and contains 2.5 wt% of 2-hydroxy methacrylate, wherein a reactive dye is dyed to the nanoparticle by covalent bond. Preferably the reactive dye is the Cibacron Blue 3G-A or Reactive Red 2 represented by a formula 2.
