The gas bag has a locking device (14) for a discharge opening (12), where the device has inner and outer cores with respective venting holes. A receiving space (24) is defined between the cores. A chamber (28) separated from the inner portion of the gas bag and bordered by a movable wall (26) is provided in the space. The chamber is filled with gas. The wall moves in the space based on pressure drop between the chamber interior and the space. The venting holes are partially closed.
