A culture method of photosynthetic bacteria including bacteriochlorophyll by using infrared LED(luminescent diode) as a luminous source is provided to reduce culture period of time and improve culture efficiency by using infrared LED having spectral distribution of 840-900nm at which the bacteriochlorophyll shows absorption maximum and performs photosynthesis. The culture method of photosynthetic bacteria including bacteriochlorophyll by using infrared LED as a luminous source comprises the steps of: preparing a medium containing water, KH2PO4, MgSO4.7H2O, NaCl, NH4Cl, CaCl2.2H2O, sodium succinate and yeast extract and having pH 6.8-7.2; autoclaving the medium and inserting the autoclaved medium into a culture tube; inoculating the photosynthetic bacterium, which is Rhodobacter sp., into the medium; and applying the electricity source to a LED panel containing infrared LEDs having spectral distribution of 840-900nm in a regular distance vertically and horizontally.
