The foot (13), with screwed rod, (11) is fitted with a screwed washer (19) whose rotation is controlled from a distance. Rotation of the washer is done by pulling a metallic or plastic wire (25) having one end fixed to and wound around the washer and the other accessible at the exterior of the refrigerator. The washer is contained in a housing (21) in the base of the refrigerator.
