An inorganic fiber article is provided to suppress eruption from an inorganic fiber molded body and improve the adiabaticity and the durability, by forming an inorganic coating layer on at least a portion of a surface of the inorganic fiber molded body. An inorganic fiber article(1) comprises an inorganic coating layer(2) having bubbles(4), wherein the inorganic coating layer is formed on at least a portion of a surface of an inorganic fiber molded body(3). The inorganic coating layer is formed on the entire of one of surfaces constituting an outer shape of the inorganic fiber molded body. The inorganic coating layer comprises an amorphous material. The amorphous material is at least one amorphous material selected from a group consisting of glass, diamond-like carbon, a silicon oxide film, a hafnium oxide film, a chalcogenide-based multi-element alloy, and an opaline material. |
