摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the write efficiency of a pixel circuit in an image display device. <P>SOLUTION: A driving method of an image display device including a light emitting means, a driver means for controlling light emission of the light emitting means, a first capacitive element connected to a control terminal of the driver means, and a second capacitive element which is connected to a pixel signal line for supplying an image signal potential corresponding to light emission luminance of the light emitting means and is connected to the first capacitive element, includes steps of; detecting a threshold voltage of the driver means and causing the first capacitive element to hold a voltage corresponding to the threshold voltage; causing the second capacitive element to hold an image signal voltage by writing a voltage corresponding to an image signal into the second capacitive element through a signal line; and applying an addition voltage of the threshold voltage held in the first capacitive element and the image signal voltage held in the second capacitive element, between the control terminal of the driver means and a first terminal or a second terminal by electrically connecting the first capacitive element and the second capacitive element in series. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
