PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display plate capable of inexpensively displaying a display material having a more three-dimensional effect. SOLUTION: The peripheral edge portion of a display region R1 of the substrate material which is a portion excluding a display region R1 of the display material on the back of a transparent substrate 23 is provided with a metal layer 25 via a transparent layer 24. Also, the portion excluding the display region R1 of the display material between the transparent substrate 23 and the transparent layer 24 and the region R2 within a specified distance L from the edge E1 on the outer side of the edge E1 on the display region R1 side of the display material of the metal 25 is provided with a light shielding layer 26.
