<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitter capable of avoiding system down caused by Brillouin scattering. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmitter 13 incorporated in an optical transmission system wherein an electrical signal is converted into an optical signal and transmitted through an optical fiber line, includes: a detector 29 for acquiring an electrical signal to be transmitted in the optical transmission system; and a transmission control unit 26d which performs predetermined operation for suppressing Brillouin scattering caused by inputting an optical signal into the optical fiber line on the basis of the electrical signal acquired by the detector 29. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
