PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic developing method by which the stable charging capacity is obtained even in low humidity environment by suppressing excessive charging of toner particles in the low humidity environment and the development stability is secured by suppressing the reduction of developer concentration due to environmental change of temperature and humidity and the degradation of developing property such as deterioration of image quality of fogging, sleeve ghost, etc. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic developing method of performing development while moving a developer to an electrostatic latent image formed on an electrostatic latent image carrier, a developer carrier comprising a base body 2 and a resin covering layer 1 on the surface is used, wherein the resin covering layer contains a compound with sulfur atom and nitrogen atom, and the content of sulfur atom and the content of nitrogen atom satisfy a specific relation, and a developer comprising binder resin (a) and toner particles (b) containing magnetic bodies made of magnetic iron oxide is also used, wherein the toner particles satisfy the ratio of the content of iron atom to the content of carbon atom, and the liberation rate X of iron and iron compound from the toner particles satisfies a specific relation.
