PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantifying respective compound groups in a sample wherein triacyl glyceride (TG), diacyl glyceride (DG), monoacyl glyceride (MG), fatty acid ester (FE), etc. are present in a mixed state. SOLUTION: The quantifying method of the sample containing at least two kinds of different compounds selected from a compound group of four kinds of TG, DG, MG and FE includes a process (A) for measuring the unsaturation ratio of the sample, a process (B) for obtaining an output value of the compound group separated by liquid chromatography due to a refractive index detector, a process (C) for calculating a refractive index sensitivity ratio by the unsaturation ratio and a predetermined relational expression and a process (D) for calculating the content of the compound group in the sample using the output value and the refractive index sensitivity ratio.
