PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based conductive resin emulsion, providing an electroconductive coating, an electroconductive adhesive, an electroconductive sticking agent, electrode material, electromagnetic wave shielding material, organic luminescent material, actuator and the like, all being excellent in conductivity, and also providing a film excellent in electroconductivity, adhesion and strength. SOLUTION: The water-based electroconductive resin emulsion is obtained by polymerizing an aromatic monomer having a heteroatom in the presence of a polyvinyl alcohol having a sulfonic acid group that is obtained by the graft polymerization of one or more monomers containing at least a sulfonic acid group onto a polyvinyl alcohol.
