PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing technique, capable of sufficiently reducing a user's burden in selection of a decorative image to be composed to a photographic image. SOLUTION: A printer 10 comprises a decorative image storage part 182 preliminarily storing a plurality of frame images Gf for decorating a photographic image Gp as image processing function; an attribute information storage part 184 preliminarily storing, as attribute information showing suitability of each frame image Gf to the photographic image Gp, a suitable table 770 and an exclusion table 780; a photographic reading part 111 reading the photographic image Gp from a storage medium 810; a subject recognition part 112 recognizing a subject OJ in the photographic image Gp; a feature determination part 113 determining a feature of the subject OJ; a selection part 114 selecting a frame image Gf matched to the photographic image Gp by collating the feature of the subject OJ with the attribute information; and a composition part 115 composing the selected frame image Gf with the photographic image Gp.
