Electronic interface for an automobile control pedal

The interface has an engine controller (13) detecting a defective information by comparing electric signals (S1, S2) which are emitted by sensors. The interface is designed such that disturbance of the signals due to the presence of a parasitic resistance on a signal transition channel is interpreted as a variation of an information towards a value. The value represents a pressed down position of a control pedal e.g. accelerator pedal, of a motor vehicle. The information corresponds to degree of pressing the control pedal and is transmitted in a redundant manner.
