A bar type vibration motor is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost of the vibration motor by reducing the number of bearings. A bar type vibration motor(100) includes a case(110), a base(120), a housing(130), a magnet(150), a bearing(140), a rotation shaft(160), and a coil(170). One side surface of the case is opened. A coupling hole is formed on the other side surface of the case. The base is coupled with an opened surface of the case. The housing has a tapered tube-like shape. A large-diameter portion of the housing is inserted into the coupling hole, while a small-diameter portion thereof is arranged inside the case. The magnet has a ring-like shape and inserted into an inner periphery of the small-diameter portion of the housing. The bearing is fixed on the housing. The rotation shaft is rotatably supported by the bearing and has a mass. The coil is arranged inside the case to enclose the magnet and connected to the rotation shaft. When the magnet is rotated, the coil is rotated to drive the rotation shaft.
