A parting seal is provided to prevent noise and drain water from a door of a vehicle reliably by allowing a sub rib to contact a hem tightly or be separated from the hem when the door is opened or closed. A parting seal(41) is mounted on a lower end of a side door of a vehicle, and includes a mounting part(44), a seal part(47), and a sub rib(48). The mounting part is mounted on a door panel(42). The seal part is protruded from the mounting part toward the inside of the vehicle such that the seal part elastically contacts a body(46) when the side door is closed. The sub rib elastically contacts a hem(45) of the door panel when the door is closed, and is separated from the hem when the door is opened. The parting seal allows water to be drained from the door through a gap(51) formed between the sub rib and the hem when the door is opened. The sub rib is protruded toward the inside of the vehicle and transformed when the door is closed.
