A display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the uniformity in cell gap of the display panel, by disposing a first spacer with a first strength adjacently to a sealant and disposing a second spacer with a second strength stronger than the first strength at the center portion inside the sealant. A first display substrate(100) has a pixel electrode. A second display substrate(200) faces the first display substrate and has a common electrode facing the pixel electrode. A sealant(350) is interposed between the first display substrate and the second display substrate to join the first substrate and the second substrate. A first spacer(371) is interposed between the first display substrate and the second display substrate. The first spacer is positioned adjacently the sealant. The first spacer is formed of a material having a first strength. A second spacer(372) is interposed between the first display substrate and the second display substrate. The second spacer is positioned adjacently to the center portion of the first display substrate. The second spacer is formed of a material having a second strength stronger than the first strength.
