Provided is an electrophotographic photoreceptor using a novel crystalline titanylphthalocyanine which has high photosensitivity and stability even in repeated charging condition. An electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises a conductive support and a photosensitive layer formed on the conductive support. The photosensitive layer comprises crystalline titanylphthalocyanine and a distiryl compound represented by the formula(1), in which a hydrogen atom in the aromatic ring may be substituted with a C1-6 alkyl group or a C1-6 alkoxy group. The crystalline titanylphthalocyanine has a maximum absorption peak at a wavelength of 780nm±10nm and a sub-absorption peak having an intensity of 3/4 or less of the maximum peak at 690nm±10nm in visible-infrared rays absorption spectrum, and peaks at Brag angle (2theta) of 9.2°, 14.5°, 18.1°, 24.1°, and 27.3°, which may have an error of ±0.2°, in x-Ray diffraction spectrum.
