An indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to minimize resistance to discharged air, and to prevent foreign matters or a hand of users from being entered into the inside of a cabinet by installing a safety net consisted of metal wire, and to easily maintain a maximum opening angle of the vane during operation of the air conditioner by forming a stopper limiting the maximum opening angle of the vane in a body. An indoor unit of an air conditioner comprises a cabinet, a body(42), a vane(44) and a safety net(46). The body includes a discharge unit(40) installed in the cabinet so as to guide air discharged from the indoor unit, and a discharge hole(41). The vane is assembled in the body, and opens/closes the discharge hole. The safety net is assembled in the discharge hole of the body so as to be attached and detached.
