<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a service-providing system which is easy to use and effective for both users and providers of service content. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile terminal device, which an ordinary user carries with him (or her), transmits customer identification information to a customer detection device when the mobile terminal device reaches a location where the customer detection device is installed. The customer detection device transmits the customer identification information and detection-device identification information to an information management device. The information management device determines an area, in which the user carrying the mobile terminal device is present, and manages service content provided by the stores in the area, such as advertisements and coupons, as the content that the user acquired. The mobile terminal device sequentially informs the information management device of present-position information. The information management device selects adequate service content according to the present position of the mobile terminal device, generates list information, and transmits the list information to the mobile terminal device.
