PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetron having aλ/4 type choke structure to suppress harmonic component propagating with a high-order mode, or to suppress unnecessary radiation of an intermediate band pinched between two harmonic components having integral multiple frequencies of the basic wave. SOLUTION: In the magnetron which includes a high-frequency forming part 11 to form the high-frequency, an antenna 24 to take out the high-frequency, a cylindrical metal container 18 to surround the antenna 24, and theλ/4 type choke structure C2 to suppress the harmonic components which are propagated in the metal container 18 with a basic mode, anotherλ/4s type choke structure C1 has been installed to suppress the harmonic components which are propagated with a high-order mode in the metal container.
