APPARATUS FOR PRINTING SPACER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DISPLAY PANEL UTILIZING THE APPARATUS FOR PRINTING SPACER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for printing spacers for enhancing display quality and to provide a method of manufacturing a display panel utilizing the same. SOLUTION: The apparatus for printing spacers includes a printing roller and a planarizing unit. The printing roller picks up the spacers onto an outer surface thereof and prints them on a substrate. The planarizing unit is spaced apart from the outer surface of the printing roller by a prescribed distance and operates to planarize the spacers such that the spacers are arranged in a single layer having a uniform height substantially equal to the diameter of the spacers. The planarizing unit thereby prevents the spacers from being printed on the substrate in multiple layers such that the cell gap of the display panel does not vary, thereby improving the display quality of the image by planarizing and printing the spacers picked up by the printing roller on the substrate.
