PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device and an image forming device, capable of improving paper setting performance and paper carrying performance of sheet materials and of enhancing useability. SOLUTION: Guide claws provided on paper width regulating plates for regulating the paper width direction of a paper feeding cassette are released so as to facilitate setting of paper sheets when setting paper, and are automatically returned to positions to overlap upper faces of paper sheets after setting. In the paper feeding cassette, press claws are rotatably provided in side regulating plates to prevent picked-up sheet materials from overstriding side regulation and skewing.
