<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizer providing improved color sense and a display device having the same. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizer includes a polarizing element 420, a first protective layer 430, a second protective layer 440 and a surface treatment layer 410. The first and the second protective layers 430, 440 are formed on both sides of the polarizing element 420 respectively. The surface treatment layer 410 is formed on the first protective layer and includes at least two kinds of scattering materials having different refraction indexes from each other. An inside haze value by the scattering materials may be formed in the range of about 25% to about 50%. An outside haze value at the surface of the surface treatment layer 410 is in the range of about 0.1% to about 1%. Consequently, the surface hardness of the polarizer is improved with improvement in the surface roughness and the outside haze value is reduced to improve the display quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
