PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly attach a COF to a piezoelectric actuator without the number of processes being increased. SOLUTION: After a wiring pattern of driving wiring lines 53, common wiring lines 54, etc. are formed on a surface of a TAB tape 70 to have a predetermined positional relationship with sprocket holes 70a (wiring line forming process), driver ICs 60 are mounted (driver IC mounting process). Next, the TAB tape 70 is cut in a manner to include the sprocket holes 70a, whereby the COF 50 is manufactured (cutting process). Then, the sprocket holes 70a of the COF 50 are fixed to pins of a jig, and a head body 13 including the piezoelectric actuator 21 is set in the jig. After the COF 50 is thus aligned to the piezoelectric actuator 21, the COF 50 is attached to the piezoelectric actuator 21 (attaching process). Subsequently, protrusions 54a including the sprocket holes 70a of the COF 50 are cut and trimmed off (trimming process). COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
