PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small laminate battery having high reliability for sealing. SOLUTION: On the laminate battery, comprising a battery element housing part 1 housing the battery element, having a cathode tab 7 and an anode tab 8 drawn out from upside thereof, a sealing part 2 for sealing the battery element housing part 1, and a folded part formed by folding the sealing part 2 at side part of the battery element housing part 1 of a laminate envelope, the folded part is folded so as to extend along a side face of the battery element housing part. The folded part, folded inwardly over the whole part of the side face, is formed after forming a notched part 4 on the folded part at a neighboring area of the bottom side 6 of the sealing part 2 at side face, and folding a corner part 5 of the bottom side 6 inward above, along the notched part 4.
