The invention relates to an armored vehicle body used for creating a vehicle interior that is provided with increased resistance against the effect of aggressions, especially bullets, fragments, and explosions. The invention particularly relates to a body for an all-terrain car model. The aim of the invention is to create an armored vehicle body which can be produced advantageously and in which the required protective effect as well as a favorable relation between the armored body and the useful space formed therein can be obtained. Said aim is achieved by an armored vehicle body that creates a vehicle interior encompassing a front section provided for accommodating a driver's seat and a front passenger seat, a central section adjoining said front section towards the rear, and a rear section which is located above a rear axle assembly. The front section of the interior is closed towards the front by a front window that is made of bulletproof glass and is inclined towards the rear of the vehicle as well as a splashboard which extends downward from the area of the lower transversal edge of the front window while separating the front section of the interior from an engine compartment section. The splashboard comprises a top section which extends substantially on the plane of the front window and is made of an armored material as well as a bottom section that drops towards the rear via a transversal offset and extends into a bottom area. The invention also relates to embodiments of the front window, the sidewall of the vehicle, and the area of the vehicle bottom. |
