Once the forward screw has been drilled into the ground its sleeve extension remains above ground where two levers (23), otherwise retracted onto the sleeve, can be adjusted into their transverse setting so as to act as handles in the screwing operation. The levers can be located and held in moulded chambers (24) when retracted but toothed together when placed crossways. The sleeve may be recessed (22) below the levers to house a tool for the screwing phase. The clamp system holding the post in place may consist of a section (27) above the sleeve with an outside thread (29) for a screwed ring (30) so that when the ring is screwed down, flexible tongues (32) moulded onto the ring necessarily ride onto an inside cone (28) and in so doing exert radial pressure on the inserted post etc. The tongues are supplemented by curved pressure surfaces. Below the clamp, the section surmounting the sleeve has a EURO standard opening for a key. |
