METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THERMAL TRANSFER IMAGE RECEIVING SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a thermal transfer image receiving sheet excellent in curling characteristics and surface smoothness.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the thermal transfer image receiving sheet includes at least a process A for sticking a base material together with a resin film to prepare a substrate, and a process B for coating the resin film with a receiving layer coating liquid comprising at least a dye dyeable resin and a solvent to form a receiving layer and to wind it. The method for manufacturing the thermal transfer image receiving sheet is characterized in that the amount of a residual solvent of the solvent remaining in the receiving layer formed in the process B is controlled to be ≥5% and ≤15% to the resin constituting the receiving layer during a winding process.
