PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a near on-demand broadcast system in which a transmission amount is suppressed. SOLUTION: A main server 6 starts transmission of near on-demand streams so that the streams are transmitted in a reproduction order, in the order of stream blocks (a), (b), (c) for each of a plurality of main transmission start times. A first interpolation server 7 starts transmission of first interpolation streams so that stream blocks (a), (b) are transmitted in this reproduction order for each of a plurality of sub transmission start times different from the main transmission start times on the basis of a transmission request signal transmitted from a terminal 3. Upon the receipt of the near on-demand streams when a reception means of the terminal 3 receives the first interpolation streams, a storage section 12 stores the stream block (c).
