<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a run-flat tire equipped with an enhanced comfortability at the time of normal running without impairing the run-flat running performance in the event of puncture. <P>SOLUTION: The run-flat tire 1 has a carcass 6 in toroidal form leading to the bead core 5 of a bead part 4 via a side wall part 3 from the tread part 2 and a side reinforcing rubber 9 provided in the side wall region Y and inside about the tire axial direction of the carcass 6. On the inside surface is directed toward the tire cavity in the side wall region Y, a groove part 10 is provided for reducing the thickness of the side reinforcing rubber 9 while it recesses toward the carcass 6 and extends continuously in the tire circumferential direction.
