METHOD FOR EVALUATING IMAGE PROCESSING ALGORITHM, METHOD, DEVICE, AND PROGRAM FOR GENERATING SAME ALGORITHM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a high evaluation to an image processing algorithm having a high processing capability.

SOLUTION: Image data of which the positions of extraction object parts like defects are known is subjected to preprocessing of an image processing algorithm being an evaluation object and then is subjected to primary evaluation, and candidates of extraction object parts including non-extraction object parts are extracted from an image after the preprocessing, and feature quantities of these candidates are calculated, and candidates are classified to extraction object parts and non-extraction object parts because positions of extraction object parts are known, and image data is subjected to secondary evaluation by a degree of separation of feature quantities between a group of extraction object parts and a group of non-extraction object parts, and parameters of the image processing algorithm are adjusted on the basis of the evaluation value of secondary evaluation. Rejection processing is performed on the basis of primary evaluation. A primary evaluation criterion is changed on the basis of secondary evaluation.
