PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the safety against rupture due to impact from the outside and a fire accident from the inside by remarkably improving case strength through using a metal case as an outer case as well as preventing overcharge of respective single batteries by monitoring voltage of respective single batteries from the case exterior. SOLUTION: A plurality of single batteries 1 in a state that their terminals on the minus sides and the plus sides are connected to each other by connection members 3 are housed in the metal case 2. The external terminals 4 on the plus side and the minus side are installed on the metal case 2, and the external terminals 4 and the terminals of the single batteries 1 are connected to each other using reeds 5. A voltage monitoring connector 6 is installed at the metal case 2, and electric wires 7 for voltage extraction extended from plus sides and minus sides of the respective single batteries 1 are connected to this voltage monitoring connector 6.
