PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery in which even if lithium metal is deposited on the inner face of a cap and an output terminal, an internal short circuit does not occur between the cap and the output terminal by that lithium metal. SOLUTION: This battery includes a bottomed cylindrical battery can 1 in which the upper face is opened, an electrode body 2 which has a positive electrode 11 and a negative electrode 12 and which is housed in the battery can 1, a cap 3 to block the opening of the upper face of the battery can 1, and an output terminal 7 mounted in a penetrated state via the insulation gasket 6 against the cap 3, and the positive electrode 11 is connected to the output terminal 7. The inner face of the cap 3 is covered by a shield body 21, and as for the shield body 21, the center part 21a approaching the output terminal 7 is fixed to the cap 3 by the output terminal 7.
