<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame transfer device capable of suppressing increase in the number of entries at a routing table in an ISP (Internet Service Provider) router and effectively utilizing an address space of a sub-net. <P>SOLUTION: The frame transfer device connected between an ISP router and a plurality of subscriber terminals comprises a VLAN intensive table for defining association among a subscriber side line information, an ISP router side circuit information, and a subscriber terminal MAC address, and a frame transfer processing portion. The subscriber side line information includes a physical line number and a subscriber VLAN identifier, and the ISP router side line information includes a physical line number of the ISP router and a group VLAN identifier. The frame transfer processing portion refers to the VLAN intensive table to convert a VLAN identifier of a received frame from a subscriber terminal into a group LAN identifier and to convert a VLAN identifier of a received frame from the ISP router into a subscriber VLAN identifier, and transmits them to a destination device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
