PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preventing a certificate or the like from being forged, with which high-security forgery prevention is attained without distinguishing color image information and black-and-white achromatic image information. SOLUTION: A forgery preventing method includes recording a face image of a person to be identified and composite image information with security information constituted of characters or images in the face image of the person for guaranteeing the face image of the person embedded therein at different positions of an identification card or the like.
